The Indian stock market will remain closed on November 20 (Wednesday) on account of Maharashtra Assembly Elections 2024.
The National Stock Exchange (NSE) and the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) have announced a trading holiday across the state of Maharashtra. On this day, trading activities will be barred in segments including equity, Futures & Options (F&O), and Securities Lending and Borrowing (SLB).
While Sensex jumped 239.37 points or 0.31% to settle at 77,578.38, Nifty gained up by 64.70 points or 0.28% to end at 23,518.50 on November 19
All 288 Assembly seats in the state will go to polls in a single phase. The election results will be declared on November 23.
